It has a charming downtown with a commuter rail station featuring an approximately 40 minute commute to Chicago’s Loop. The popular Green Bay Trail located which runs through town allows bicycle riders to ride south to Wilmette and north past Lake Forest.
The population of Glencoe is slightly under 9,000. High school students attend the award winning, national recognized New Trier High School. Chicago’s Botanic Gardens, 385 acres of gardens and exhibitions is located in town.
